Sebastian Vettel moved ahead of Lewis Hamilton in second practice for the Mexican Grand Prix, heading Lewis Hamilton by just four thousandths of a second.
Vettel's time of one minute, 19.790 was 1.2 seconds ahead of Hamilton's table topping first practice time.
Nico Rosberg moved up the order to finish third fastest, ahead of Kimi Raikkonen and Daniel Ricciardo.
Nico Hulkenberg was sixth fastest, ahead of Max Verstappen who missed the second half of first practice, while Valtteri Bottas, Carlos Sainz, and Fernando Alonso finished off the top 10.
Danill Kvyat came to a stop at the pit entrance as the session was finishing, before that he lapped the track in the 11th fastest time, quicker than Jenson Button, Felipe Massa, and Kevin Magnussen.
Local hero Sergio Perez slipped down the order to 15th, while Jolyon Palmer, Pascal Wehrlein, Marcus Ericsson and Felipe Nasr were next.
Both Haas drivers were in the bottom three, with Esteban Ocon splitting Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutierrez, who completed the field.
