Daniil Kvyat has admitted he is frustrated by constant speculation surrounding his future.
The Russian driver was dropped by Red Bull earlier this year and rampant speculation placed Pierre Gasly in his seat for 2017, while he was linked with moves to Williams and Renault.
Earlier this week, however, it was reported that Red Bull were willing to offer him a contract extension to keep him with the brand, although it what role was not made clear.
Now Kvyat has spoken out against the rumours, saying that what is said about him in the press doesn't bother him.
"First I'm fired then I sign for two years," the 22-year-old is quoted by Russia's Sportbox as having said at Suzuka.
"All these rumours don't interest me. When there is something to announce, it will be announced, so you need to be patient."
