Lewis Hamilton topped second practice for the Malaysia Grand Prix, lapping the Sepang International Circuit just over two tenths of a second faster than Mercedes team mate Nico Rosberg.
Again the Ferraris were second and third, but they too had swapped places, with Sebastian Vettel third and Kimi Raikkonen fourth.
Max Verstappen was fifth, Sergio Perez seventh, while Fernando Alonso, Daniel Ricciardo, Nico Hulkenberg, and Jenson Button completed the top 10.
Carlos Sainz was 11th, ahead of Jolyon Palmer, Valtteri Bottas, Esteban Gutierrez and Felipe Massa.
Daniil Kvyat, and the Saubers of Marcus Ericsson and Felipe Massa were next, with Kevin Magnussen in 19th - the fact that he was even on track in second practice was remarkable given his fire earlier this morning.
Romain Grosjean, Pascal Wehrlein and Esteban Ocon completed the field.
