Sebastian Vettel: "I'm happy to lock out the second row"

Sebsatian Vettel claimed third position in qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix but despite being happy to qualify ahead of the Red Bull's, he is disappointed to be so far behind the Mercedes.

"First of all I wasn't that happy with the first shot in Q3, I sort of lost the rhythm a bit. Then I was obviously able to get it back and I had a good lap, I went just on the limit on the last corner, I actually lost and was a bit late going on the throttle but I think the lap itself after not a great start, not a great first sector where I was still losing out a little bit compared to Q2.

"I brought it back in sector two and sector three and obviously very happy for us to lock out the second row as a team. I'm not entirely happy because the gap is quite big to the guys ahead, it looks they have been in a world of their own today but who knows what happens tomorrow.

"For sure it's great to see we have so much support, last year it was phenomenal and this year it seems even better so every out-lap you do people stand up and wave and it's great to see all the flags.

"I think the support we get around here is massive and big thanks to everyone around the track, to all the tifosi and hopefully we can give something back tomorrow."
