Nico Rosberg remained on top in second practice, leading team mate Lewis Hamilton.

The gap between the Mercedes pair was marginally wider than it was in first practice, with Rosberg ahead by just under four tenths of a second.

Sebastian Vettel was third, ahead of Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo with the other Ferrari of Kimi Raikkonen in sixth.

Nico Hulkenberg was seventh, ahead of Jenson button whose session was gut short due to an eye problem which saw him visit the circuit medial centre and later a local hospital just after the conclusion of the session.

Sergio Perez and Fernando Alonso completed the top ten, ahead of Carlos Sainz who just missed out on the top 10.

Sainz's Toro Rosso team mate Daniil Kvyat was 12, Valtteri Bottas in 13th, two spots ahead of Williams team mate Felipe Massa.

Haas' Romain Grosjean split the Williams pair, while his team mate was in 16th.

Kevin Magnussen, Marcus Ericsson, Pascal Wehrlein, Jolyon Palmer, Rio Haryanto and Felipe Nasr completed the runners in what was a fairly quiet session.
