Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has set the fastest time in the first free practice for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. With a 1:31.654 he went 0.033 quicker than team mate Nico Rosberg. Force India driver Nico Hülkenberg was best of the rest in third place, eight tenths of a second behind Hamilton. Ferrari did a test lap with the 'Halo 2'. Charles Leclerc made his F1 debut for Haas F1 and spun in Turn 3. He ended up in P18.
