McLaren Commercial is delighted to announce that Hilton has extended its Corporate Partnership with the McLaren-Honda team until the end of 2021.
The news follows the recent extension until the end of 2019, now adding a further two years to a long-standing partnership which began in 2005. Today’s announcement underlines the inherent value and benefit of a partnership that has grown and developed organically across the years to reflect both Hilton’s customer- and business-facing engagement models.
Following the renewal, Hilton is set to further expand its activation programme, which has recently included last March’s #NightAtMcLaren promotion, which saw Hilton Honors winners spend a night at the McLaren Technology Centre before viewing a screening of the 2016 Australian Grand Prix. More recently, Hilton announced the opportunity for one young fan to become the team’s official mascot at July’s British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
This new agreement sees increased branding on the drivers’ overalls, and the opportunity for Hilton to draw on its entire portfolio of 14 brands across nearly 5,000 properties, including Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Doubletree by Hilton and Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts for use as on-car branding.
McLaren Technology Group Executive Director Zak Brown said: "It’s wonderful to be able to announce a further extension to our long-standing partnership with Hilton – a relationship that has been prosperous and fruitful for over a decade. At McLaren, we fully understand the value and positives of long-term relationships, and this extension further underlines the mutual benefit that comes from operating together."
"Hilton is a genuine global brand, synonymous with travel and adventure. And we’re really pleased by some of the ways McLaren-Honda has been able to activate the brand. We’ve created some fun, unique and successful campaigns together, and, most importantly, I think there’s plenty more of that to come."
Chris Silcock, Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer, Hilton said: "Having worked with McLaren for more than 12 years, we are delighted to be extending our partnership with the team until 2021. At Hilton, we always strive to offer exceptional experiences to our guests and it is through fantastic partnerships like this that we are able to bring that to life, both on and off the track! With both companies so closely aligned on driving innovation and global opportunities, we are excited about what the next four years have in store."
