Red Bull would vote against Halo system

Red Bull would vote against the Halo system despite fitting it on Pierre Gasly's car at the in-season test at Silverstone.

Cockpit protection has been a big talking point in recent months and it has created a split opinion down the paddock. Red Bull team principal Christian Horner feels that 2017 is too soon to introduce the Halo.

"It was strange to see something in front of me but I was surprised that it didn't change (the visibility) much," said Gasly. "I'd prefer there to be more research time taken to do the job properly, rather than rushing something through that may have other consequences."

"I certainly wouldn't vote in favour at the moment," he added.
