Antonio Giovinazzi has apologised to Sauber after he ended his qualifying session in the wall. The Italian spun at the last corner in the dying stages of Q1 and hit the wall hard, but has no further body pains.
"Yeah all good," he said to Sky Sports F1 when asked if he was okay. "Just want to say sorry to the guys. I was on the limit and I touched the grass at the exit of the last corner. I was up on my time but this is racing. Again, I’m sorry and hopefully tomorrow will be a better day."

Giovinazzi is filling in for Pascal Wehrlein who sits out this race due to an injury suffered back in January. It has been revealed that the German fractured a neck vertebrae in the accident.
Giovinazzi's teammate Marcus Ericsson qualified fourteenth for the race tomorrow, making it out of Q1 once again, as the Swede also claimed that achievement in the season opener two weeks ago in Melbourne.

I know I'm just a dumb fan, but did Giovinazzi's front right suspension break when he crossed the curb on the outside of the corner?

The front right seems to click as Giovinazzi is travelling over the outside of the curb, then when the car starts to spin Giovinazzi has steering on hard lock to the right, and whilst the front left appears to be turned noticeably to the right, it looks to me as though the front right wheel is pointing straight ahead...... if fact, just before the car hits the wall Giovinazzi still has the steering on hard lock to the right, but the front right appears to move slightly to the left (can see particularly the black aero thing on the inside of the wheel move to the left).
