Valtteri Bottas has said that Williams have failed to keep up in the development race.
The British team have slipped further behind Mercedes and the challenging Ferrari and Red Bull teams, and their fourth place in the standings is under threat from Force India too.
Bottas said that the team are not happy with the improvements they have made and other teams have been able to work better than they have.
"We have not been 100% satisfied with the development in terms of improvements and upgrades for us as a team," Bottas told Autosport. "Some of the other teams have outdeveloped us a little bit, which has now put us under pressure from Force India."
Looking ahead to the second half of the year, Bottas insists that the team must get more performance out of the car or they risk loosing more ground.
"But this is Formula 1, it's competitive and it's tricky to be running up front," he said. "The main thing in the second half of the season is we start maximising 100% from the car, which maybe some races we have been struggling to do."
