Christian Horner has said that Formula One needs a "common sense rule" after yet more radio regulation drama at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
McLaren's Jenson Button was given a penalty for receiving unauthorised instructions to deal with a mechanical issue and Red Bull boss Horner has said such regulations are turning away the sport's casual fans.
"I think we need a common sense rule," he told Crash.net, "but probably in Formula One that doesn't exist."
"It's like the radio situation today with Jenson Button. I haven't seen what was said or reported but I think we're over regulating and making it too complicated for the fans," he continued. "You need to keep it simple that a casual viewer can tune in and pick up what's going on without over-regulating."
