Marcus Ericsson will drive for
Sauber in 2015. That news was confirmed by the Swiss team after qualifying for the United States Grand Prix. Ericsson's teammate is still unknown, but according to several publications the Swede will be partnered by
Giedo van der Garde.
Ericsson debuted this season for Caterham. After a difficult campain, the Swede was out of a drive ahead of the race in Austin as the Caterham team fell apart. Ericsson said to be delighted with his chance at Sauber.
"After a turbulent week, I got the best early Christmas present of my life," he said. "Sauber has spoken out their trust in me for 2015 and that makes me proud. It will be a big challenge and I will give everything I have got to develop me as a driver."
