McLaren's
Lewis Hamilton continued to dominate in Sao Paulo on Friday afternoon, finishing Practice Two 0.274s ahead of Red Bull's
Sebastian Vettel as the top nine cars were again within a second of each other.
Hamilton set his best time of 1m 14.026s on Pirelli's medium rubber, and Vettel got closest with 1m 14.300s before everyone switched to race runs. Behind them
Mark Webber was again on strong form in the second Red Bull with 1m 14.523s as
Felipe Massa yet again outpaced
Ferrari team mate
Fernando Alonso with 1m 14.553s to 1m 14.592s.
Mercedes were also in on the act this time, with
Michael Schumacher sixth on 1m 14.654s and
Nico Rosberg next up on 1m 14.669s.
Jenson Button was eighth in the second McLaren with 1m 14.863s and
Romain Grosjean was again
Lotuss faster runner in ninth with 1m 14.994s.
Paul di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg proved very evenly matched at
Force India, the former lapping in 1m 15.129s, the latter 1m 15.131s.
Lotuss Kimi Raikkonen was 12th on 1m 15.371s from
Bruno Sennas
Williams on 1m 15.432s and the
Sauber duo, with
Sergio Perez on 1m 15.542s and
Kamui Kobayashi on 1m 15.839s.
Daniel Ricciardo was again Toro Rosso's faster runner with 1m 15.902s ahead of Williams'
Pastor Maldonado on 1m 15.953s and team mate
Jean-Eric Vergne who recorded exactly the same time as he did this morning, 1m 16.048s.
Vitaly Petrov was Caterham's leader in 19th on 1m 16.126s from team mate Heikki Kovalainen on 1m 16.655s, while having sat out a lot of the session,
Pedro de la Rosa jumped up to 21st with 1m 17.244s for
HRT.
That left
Timo Glock and
Charles Pic in their
Marussias 22nd and 23rd. The German lapped in 1m 17.675s while the Frenchman had worked down to 1m 18.127s when his car rolled to a halt out at the Bico de Pato corner (Turn 10).
Narain Karthikeyan's running was also restricted, and he brought up the rear with 1m 18.139s in the second HRT. (Formula1.com)
