Romain Grosjean has said that Haas' best chance to gain places in the constructors championship is by taking advantage of Toro Rosso's late season driver changes. Haas are currently in eighth place in the constructors championship 1 point behind Renault and 6 behind Toro Rosso, but Grosjean says the team are targetting to beat Toro Rosso, with Renault too fast to compete with.

Toro Rosso have completely changed their driver lineup in recent weeks, having lost Carlos Sainz to Renault, who had scored the majority of the points for the team, and sacking Daniil Kvyat after it was deemed he was not good enough to continue with the team. Their current driver line up of Pierre Gasly and Brendon Hartley have a combined five Grands Prix experience between them heading into the crucial last two races of the season.

Renault however have picked up their form in recent races, evolving to become one of the quickest cars in the midfield and now have two drivers capable of scoring points after swapping Jolyon Palmer for Carlos Sainz, so even though they are only one point ahead of Haas in seventh place are thought to be the form team in the battle for sixth place in the table.

"I think out of those teams, Renault is the faster one," Grosjean said. "They've got a really good car through to the end of the season. They've had a bit more of a difficult time in the races, which has allowed us to close the gap and keep them in sight.

"Toro Rosso is the one we can try to go for. They're not performing better than we are, and they've got less experience amongst their drivers, so that should help us. We're going to do everything we can to get those positions because it's very important for the team."
