Valtteri Bottas ended day two of the second week of testing on top with a fastest lap time of 1:19.310, the quickest from the two weeks of testing so far. Bottas' former team mate Felipe Massa was second, setting 63 laps.

Kimi Raikkonen was third but had his troubles as he spun off in the mid part of the afternoon, hitting the barrier softly. Fourth was Max Verstappen who stopped trackside near the end of the session. Lance Stroll ended the day in fifth.

Sixth was Hamilton, followed by the Renault of Nico Hulkenberg and the Force India of Sergio Perez. Carlos Sainz was ninth and Romain Grosjean completed the top ten.

Pascal Wehrlein was eleventh, Fernando Alonso twelveth and Marcus Ericsson finished thirteenth, as he also stopped on the side of the track in the dying moments of the session. Jolyon Palmer had problems with the car early on and missed out on a lot of running, ending running at the bottom of the time sheets.
