Marcus Ericsson to work with new race engineer

Marcus Ericsson will have a new race engineer for 2017. Sticking with Sauber for a third consecutive season, the Swede will be working with Julien Simon-Chautemps.

Simon-Chautemps has previously worked with Renault/Lotus, advising Kimi Raikkonen, Pastor Maldonado, Romain Grosjean and Jolyon Palmer. He replaces Craig Gardiner at Sauber, who in turn was the successor of Erik Schuivens, who in 2016 made the move to LMP1 with Audi.

Schuviens work for this year is not yet known as the German manufacturer pulled out of the WEC at the end of 2016.
