Red Bull junior driver Pierre Gasly confirmed last month that he would be competing in Super Formula in 2017, and he has now revealed that he will be racing for Team Mugen.
The 21 year old was tipped for a 2017 Formula 1 seat but was denied when Toro Rosso decided to retain Daniil Kvyat for another season. He will add to his racing experience by travelling to Japan to race in the nation's premier racing series.

Gasly is the second GP2 champion in recent years to take part in the series, with 2015 champion Stoffel Vandoorne filling in his gap year in Japan before being confirmed as a McLaren driver for 2017.
"It is all going to be very different, I have no experience with the car or the tracks and I know that the Japanese culture, philosophy, way of working, just about everything is different. It is a fantastic new challenge and I love that," Gasly said.
