Felipe Massa has hit out at "strange" rules in Formula One which meant his got the first reprimand of his career at the Japanese Grand Prix.
The Brazilian was hit with a reprimand on Saturday after his in-lap after Q2 was deemed too slow.
"I thought I would end my career without any reprimands, but it was not possible," Brazil's UOL quotes the Williams driver as saying.
Massa said that a faulty steering wheel display was behind his slow in-lap
"We have a display on the steering wheel but it was not working. It was slow, but you always try to go as slow as you can, so I thought it was okay.
"No one was approaching me - I was just too slow. The rules are a little bit strange," he added.
