Formula E boss keen for Massa switch

Formula E boss Alejandro Agag revealed that he would "love" Felipe Massa to move to the all-electric series following the announcement of his Formula One retirement.

Williams driver Massa recently said he would consider offers to race in DTM, WEC or Formula E in 2017 now that his time in F1 was nearing its end.

Agag told Spain's El Confidencial newspaper: "When I heard he said that (about Formula E), I sent him a Whatsapp (message) and told him we should meet."

"I'd love him to come here. In fact, it's the teams who choose their drivers, but I would love for someone with such quality to come to us," he said.

"He (Massa) also mentioned DTM and WEC but the fact that a driver like him says he wants to come to us means that we are a real alternative for the big boys," Agag added.

Agag staying quiet on F1 rumours

Agag has recently been linked with a role in F1 management since the sport was taken over by Liberty Media, a sister company to Formula E co-owners Liberty Global.

Despite insisting he is committed to Formula E, the Spaniard refused to rule out a potential move into F1 one day.

"I don't know," he said. "There are many rumours but there is nothing real and I have my moral responsibility to stay in Formula E. Let's see."

"I don't know what will happen because although Liberty Media and Liberty Global are different companies they have the same shareholders, but basically there have been no discussions."
