Renault driver, Jolyon Palmer, has said he is determined to put the bad luck he has had this season behind him, as well as the disappointment of losing his seat to Carlos Sainz for next season, and will continue the good form he showed in Singapore last weekend.
Palmer scored his first points of the season in the tricky conditions of a wet Marina Bay circuit in an excellent performance punctuated by an audacious pass on the Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas on the safety car restart, which doubtlessly an emphatic statement that despite losing his seat he is still fighting to remain on the F1 grid.

Palmer said this on his approach for the rest of the season: "I have six more races to show what I can do, hopefully other people can see what I am doing. I am still focused on each race as it comes, with six races to go, whatever lies in the future, lies there. The pressure is on in Formula 1. I always want to do well, even at the start of the year I wanted to stay ahead, and I needed to do good results.
"I want to do the best in each race and leave the team with my head held high at the end of the year. At Spa we should have had a good haul of points already, but there was the gearbox penalty and getting stuck in traffic, then Monza, we started at the back and didn't finish the race. There are a lot of 'what ifs' - in Silverstone, Baku, many, many races this year, finally we have one where the whole weekend has gone smoothly.I got points in Malaysia last year, so this year I hope we can get some more."

He has definitely been improving quite dramatically in the last few races!
It should be interesting to see what he is really capable of achieving.

Either he has improved or he has been able to opportunize on other's mistakes. But he did drive well in Singapore either way. I think he can perform well, just not in F1.
