Marcus Ericsson has received a five-place grid penalty due to the team changing his gearbox after qualifying yesterday. However, the Swede was already set to start at the back, so no positional changes will be a consequence.
Ericsson's teammate Pascal Wehrlein will start one place ahead of him, in a weekend in which Sauber have been struggling. Before the weekend, the team was optimistic that they could sneak some points like they did in Spain, however it seems they need a bit of lady luck today.

Its very odd to see them struggle so much on a track like this. In theory, this should be a golden opportunity for them.
