Fernando Alonso doesn't believe Pirelli's 2017 tyre testing is fair.
So far, MErcedes, Ferrari, and Red Bull have split the running, with championship contenders Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton set to sample to new rubber this week.
Althought he race drivers initially didn't want to test for Mercedes, leaving the running in the hands of test driver Pascal Wehrlein, Pirelli and Mercedes management managed to persuade them to change their minds.
AS newspaper claims that Pirelli never offered McLaren Honda a chance to test, despite initial claims from the British team that they opted not to join in.
Two-time champion Alonso doesn't agree that only a few teams get to run, while other do not. "It is not logical that some teams can test the new tyres and some cannot, but that's what is happening," he said. "I think everyone should have the opportunity to test the compounds."
