McLaren have been forced to deny they are in contact with Technology juggernaut Apple.
The internet became awash with speculation on Wednesday after the Financial Times reported that Apple were in discussions with McLaren Technology Group over a "strategic investment or full takeover ".
However, when Autosport contacted McLaren for comment, the company issued a statement denying the far-reaching reports.
"We can confirm McLaren is not in discussion with Apple in respect of any potential investment," said a company spokesperson.
"As you would expect, the nature of our brand means we regularly have confidential conversations with a wide range of parties, but we keep them confidential."
