Jolyon Palmer remains optimistic that he will break his points duck soon, despite a difficult race in Germany.
After a spin in Hungary left him missing out on a certain points scoring finish, Palmer again failed to score in Germany.
The British rookie made it into Q2 again and managed to pass cars at the start but contact on the opening lap meant he was set for another difficult afternoon.
"Everything was really positive coming into this event, and I had a good start," he said. "I think I was 10th, so it's disappointing. I had a big lock-up in Turn 2 and massively flat-spotted my tyres.
"I could barely see where I was going because of the vibrations and I tipped a Williams whilst trying to hold on from one of the McLarens – this damaged my front wing which we changed at the second pit-stop," he added
Despite another tough race, Palmer is going into the summer break optimistic of a positive second half of the season.
"It's a shame but we can take the positives and focus on the second half of the season."
