Scuderia Toro Rosso driver Max Verstappen has set the best time in the first free practice for the Mexican Grand Prix. The session started with a damp track and even in the dry the surface proved to be quite slippery. Felipe Nasr span in Turn 16, Verstappen had a spin in Turn 1 and Valtteri Bottas span in Turn 3. Nico Rosberg had problems with overheating rear brakes. Jenson Button had a hampered session due to problems with his new Honda engine.

Verstappen did cut the track a bit, not sure that can be considered as a "legal" lap ;)
Kvyat and Raikkonen exact same lap time but I think Kvyat got it first.

Yup, and Im not sure this FP is very representative anyway. I am suprised by how far back Mercedes is though, representative or not. Problem with heat again?
