The news from Jerez so far appears to be a mixed bag, with the likes of Caterham and
Marussia having to delay their launches due to technical issues.
Force India,
Mercedes, Red Bull and Toro Rosso have unveiled all of their cars successfully however.
There has been very limited running on the track so far, with only three drivers having completed timed laps. Here is the current leaderboard:
1. L. Hamilton - 1:27.820 (Mercedes)
2. K. Raikkonen - 1:29.474s (
Ferrari)
3. J-E. Vergne - 1:36.530 (Toro Rosso)
Despite currently being top of the timesheets, Hamilton's day looks to have come to a premature end after a suspected front-wing failure sent him into the tyre barrier at Turn 1.
Kimi Raikkonen also suffered problems earlier with the Ferrari after having been instructed to stop the car on the back-straight.
It is looking like Red Bull and
McLaren will also have very limited track time this afternoon, with the latter only planning to set an installation lap according to our team in Jerez.

Update: It is now all-but confirmed that McLaren will not run today after reports have emerged that they are suffering from hydraulic and electrical issues.
