Kevin Magnussen has avoided a grid penalty for the Australian Grand Prix, after it was deemed he was released unsafely into the pit lane during Saturday's qualifying session,
However, Haas has been fined €5,000 for the incident, which the Stewards say "resulted in car 11 (Sergio Perez) having to take evasive action”.
"The Stewards reviewed video evidence, heard from the drivers of Car 20 (Kevin Magnussen) and Car 11 (Sergio Perez) and the team representatives," read a statement.
"Car 20 was released from the garage in an unsafe manner resulting in Car 11 (Sergio Perez) having to take evasive action.
"Competitors are reminded of their right to appeal in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code."
A second fine of €5,000 was handed out to McLaren after it released Lando Norris into the path of Robert Kubica during the third practice session on Saturday morning.
An unsafe release involving Sergio Perez was also investigated, but no punishment was handed out as the Stewards deemed that Perez's car “was not unsafe in the circumstances”.
