FIA set date for Haas disqualification appeal

The FIA has officially set the date at the International Court of Appeal for Haas F1 to appeal the decision that disqualified Romain Grosjean's car from the Italian Grand Prix last month.

Following the race at Monza, Renault launched a complaint against the American team, requesting that its floor should be investigated. After a thorough investigation, it was determined that the floor did not comply with the regulations, leading to Grosejans' exclusion from the classifications.

The floor failed to have the required 50mm radius edges on the front area. Haas originally appealed for special dispensation to extend the time they needed to make the changes for Singapore, but its request was denied by F1's governing body.

Haas confirmed it would appeal the decision and now the FIA has confirmed that the hearing will take place on November 1st. Should Haas win the appeal, it will regain the eight points it was stripped of in Italy.

Every point may be crucial for the team's championship hopes, as it looks to overtake and finish the season ahead of Renault for fourth in the constructor's standings. Currently, it sits 11 points behind the Enstone squad.

Why bother the car was not confirming to the rules. It's an waste of resource I'll be very surprised if they will uphold the appeal. If they are successful it will open the floodgates against the FIA. Teams will be allowed to have similar sharp corners on their floors.
