Scuderia Ferrari team principal Maurizio Arrivabene has praised the improvement of Finnish driver Kimi Raikkonen heading into Sunday's race at Sochi.
Raikkonen has had a slow start to 2017, being comprehensively beaten by German team-mate Sebastian Vettel in the three weekends prior to the Russian Grand Prix, but after only narrowly missing out on pole position to Vettel, Raikkonen could be set to have a strong Sunday afternoon.
Much has been made of Vettel's dominance and it has led to conclusions that Vettel is de facto number one for the Maranello squad.
"I'm really happy, most of all because we have a great car and two exceptional drivers -- and I must stress two," Arrivabene told Sky Italia.
"Kimi is not a slow driver. He might take a moment early in the season to find his pace, but once he finds it, his right leg is really heavy," he added.
