The pair make their full-season débuts at the Australian Grand Prix in March, with Vandoorne lining up for McLaren and Stroll replacing the retiring Felipe Massa at Williams.
Vandoorne has opted for the number 2 - the lowest available number - despite racing with the number 47 when he made a one-off appearance in place of the injured Fernando Alonso at this year's Bahrain Grand Prix.
Stroll meanwhile will race with number 18, one below Massa's 19.
