Haas F1 team principal Gunther Steiner has admitted that the team are unsure of what caused Romain Grosjean's race-ending brake failure at the Malaysia Grand Prix.
The Franco-Swiss driver suffered brake problems all weekend a tthe SIngapore Grand Prix due to a lose connection, but the failure he encountered at Sepang has left the team scratching their heads.

"On Romain's car it was a disc failure - it exploded - and we don't know why," said Steiner. "We saw on the data some vibration beforehand, so we have to investigate why the disc failed because it didn't overheat or anything."
"But carbon brake disc investigations are not easy, it's a science project. There's only dust left, and nothing more," he admitted. "We need to see if there's something obvious in the purchase or production and go from there."
