Hamilton still believes in Ferrari: “Something extraordinary is coming”

The Brazilian Grand Prix offered Lewis Hamilton more heartbreak, but not despair. The seven-time world champion left São Paulo without a finish, yet with his faith in Ferrari intact. The Briton insists that the setbacks are part of a bigger journey — one he still believes will end in success.

A rough race, a resilient mindset

Hamilton’s main race unravelled early after contact with Carlos Sainz damaged his suspension and stripped away the car’s downforce. “It was a pretty hard hit,” he told Viaplay. “It felt like the car’s suspension was broken and the grip just disappeared. Staying on track was the hardest thing.”

He eventually retired, marking yet another weekend without a significant result. Still, Hamilton refused to surrender to frustration. “It wouldn’t be fair to say there are no positives. Charles was fast in qualifying, which shows the car has potential. We just need to push through this tough moment.”

Holding on to belief

Hamilton, now sixth in the standings with Antonelli closing behind, framed his struggles as a test of purpose. “I have to believe these setbacks are leading to something extraordinary in my life and career,” he said. “I still have absolute faith in this team and in what we can achieve together. The key is to keep going and keep giving everything.”

The tone may have been weary, but the conviction was genuine. Hamilton’s Ferrari story has yet to find its rhythm, yet he continues to see possibility amid the frustration. “I came here to build something with Ferrari,” he said. “That belief hasn’t changed.”
