Kevin Magnussen will likely re-use the power unit he was using when he crashed heavily during last month's Belgian Grand Prix.
Despite the impact destroying the car and leaving Magnussen needing hospital treatment, the Renault RE16 power unit was left miraculously undamaged.
"We will probably use Kevin's motor unit on Friday in Singapore and Sepang, as it seems that there was no serious damage in the accident," chief technical officer Bob Bell said.
"One of the real success stories of this year is how strong the power unit has been," he added. "And not only in relation to improved performance, but also reliability."
