Fernando Alonso calls for rules continuity

McLaren driver Fernando Alonso has said that Formula One needs to  keep the rules consistent.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Alonso said: "It is unusual how often they change the rules in this sport and they usually fall back on something that was true two weeks ago or two months ago or two years ago, as drivers we just handle it.. we would not give up and have no voice in it the rules. "

While Alonso admits that for drivers, the constant rule changes are not much of a problem, for fans, it can make the sport difficult to follow.

"We'll wait and get every practice, qualifying or race to hear from our teams what is and is not in the session. It's been months go, the regulations are constantly subject to change. For us it is not a big problem, this is our work. However, for the fans and viewers, it would be better if they know there is some continuity to apply. "
