The Haas Formula 1 Team has confirmed that development driver Santino Ferrucci will get behind the wheel of its VF-16 car for the first time at Silverstone next week.
Ferrucci, 18, joined Haas in the role at the beginning of the season, working with the team alongside his GP3 commitments with DAMS.
"Becoming a Formula One driver is my ultimate goal and I can’t thank Haas F1 Team enough for this opportunity," said Ferrucci. "Nothing beats seat time, and the experience of driving a Formula One car and working with Haas F1 Team will be invaluable.”
Two days of testing follows immediately after the British Grand Prix this Sunday.
