Haas confirm Gutierrez as their second driver

US Team Haas have finally confirmed that Ferrari Reserve Driver Esteban Guitierrez will drive for the team alongside Romain Grosjean.

The Mexican made his debut for Sauber back in 2013, scoring six points in his first two years before becoming Ferrari's Reserve Driver in 2015. His best finish was 7th in the Japanese Grand Prix, 2013.

The new Haas drivers sense that next year he will be in a competitive seat, mainly due to the Ferrari Engine and, hopefully, a good chassis.

Gene Haas believes in me and I believe in how he’s going about competing in Formula 1.

“To have a race seat in a competitive car with Ferrari power is very special, and I appreciate the faith he has in me. I trust we’ll be able to achieve great things together.”
