Kevin Magnussen has told reporters at Singapore that he has not given his team, Renault, an ultimatum for them to make a decision for their 2017 driver line-up.
Ever since Vandoorme was confirmed for Mclaren and Bottas and Perez are looking likely to stay with their respected teams. Renault Team Principle Fred Vasseur has admitted that there will now be a further delay on the announcement for their driver line-up for next year.
This has supposedly annoyed Magnussen who has scored all of Renault's points this year and, reports were surfacing that earlier this week he had issued an ultimatum to the French Manufacturers.
The Dane has responded by telling reporters in Singapore that the ultimatum was not "not necessarily true". But he did reveal that he was frustrated by the current situation.
"I don't know what is going on behind the scenes," "I have read in the press that there has been a delay and that the decision could take a long time. Yes, it is.
I was hoping for a decision between these two races, but clearly it hasn't come and things are taking longer than I had hoped for. I would be a bit more relaxed if that was the case but that is not what I have. So anyway, that is how it is."
