Jenson Button adds Super GT to list of potential destinations

Jenson Button has said he may race in the Super GT series next year.

While also reiterating his desire to compete in Rallycross events, Button told reporters in Singapore that Japan's premier sports car racing championship could also be an option.

"I want to spend more time with friends, family and to do other things...I love triathlons and maybe I'll race in something else like Rallycross or Super GT in Japan," he told reporters on Wednesday.

The McLaren driver was also linked with moves to his first team Williams and a switch to the FIA World Endurance championship before putting pen to paper on a new two year deal with McLaren which will see him sit on the sidelines in 2017.

Five teams in Super GT currently run cars built by McLaren's engine partner Honda.
