German media discuss tight Mercedes fight

The German media is expecting the fight between Mercedes' team mates to remain close in 2016.

Lewis Hamilton took a narrow championship lead for the first time this season with his win in Hungary last weekend but Michael Schmidt of Auto Motor und Sport, thinks the battle between Hamilton and Nico Rosberg is far from over..

"They are almost the same," he told Bild newspaper.

Sueddeutsche Zeitung's Rene Hofmann adds: "In critical moments, Hamilton's ego, instinct and determination prevail.

"He thinks of nothing but himself and his success," he added.

RTL's Florian Konig thinks that while Hamilton has more natural ability, Rosberg will be able to beat Hamilton.

"Nico's intelligence, diligence and analytics will keep the natural talent of Hamilton at bay," he said.

Bild reporter Helmut Uhl added: "The heart says Nico, the head says Hamilton."

"But I am going to agree with (pop singer) Joris' hit and say 'Herz uber Kopf (heart over head)."
