Bahrain steward Mika Salo felt Iran earthquake

Former F1 driver Mika Salo said he felt the major earthquake that struck Iran on Tuesday. Reports said dozens were killed in the 7.8 magnitude quake on the Pakistan border. Finn Salo was in Bahrain at the time of the earthquake, preparing for his weekend's role as a steward for the island Kingdom's controversial grand prix.

"I had just come from the hotel when all of a sudden it began to shake. "The entire building shook and swayed," he told the Finnish broadcaster MTV3. "I can only imagine how bad the situation is in Iran," added Salo, the former Ferrari and Sauber driver. He added: "I am about ten kilometres from the F1 track. I don't think it will compromise the race at the weekend at all." (GMM)
