Charles Leclerc to start race one on pole

Charles Leclerc has taken his fourth pole position of the season in Malaysia. 

Leclerc, who leads the championship by 24 points, took pole by over a tenth of a second over team-mate Alex Albon. 

The third ART car of Nyck De Vries will start the race from third on the grid.

De Vries wasmarginally ahead of Briton Jack Aitken, with the two seperated by two hundreds of a second. Campos driver Alex Palou was fifth, ahead of Nirei Fukuzumi who will start sixth.

Indian Arjun Maini qualified in seventh, followed by Sandy Stuvik. Rounding out the top ten was Jake Dennis and Steijn Schothorst

Championship contender Antonio Fuoco could only manage to qualify eleventh.
