Sergey Sirotkin takes pole for race one

Sergey Sirotkin has taken pole position for the first GP2 race at the Hockenheim circuit by setting a time 1 minute 22.193 seconds.

Sirotkin was ahead rival Pierre Gasly by sixteen thousands of a second. Rafaelle Marciello was third, Antonio Giovinazzi was fourth with Oliver Rowland finishing fifth.

Alex Lynn was left frustrated that he couldn't make the the most of his lap due to traffic and ended up in sixth. Norman Nato came across the line for seventh followed by the Canadian Nicholas Latifi, Jordan King and the Carlin of Marvin Kirchhofer rounded out the top ten.
