Horner ushers warning to pole-sitter Vettel

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has warned Sebastian Vettel that he will feel a lot of pressure from behind during Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix. While Red Bull looked like the strongest team throughout practice, it was ultimately Vettel who came out on top in qualifying.

Red Bull's Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo will start the race from second and third respectively. On the long runs, it appears that Red Bull have an advantage over Ferrari, but with overtaking around the Marina Bay circuit a tough challenge, Horner says that Red Bull will throw everything towards a race victory.

"We've got nothing to lose. Seb's got a championship to think about," he said. We've been quickest in every session and then the one that really counts, in those last stages...the drivers extracted everything from the car and we just don't have that last little bit.

"We're happy with a front row start and third as well. The race pace we had yesterday puts us in good stead for tomorrow. They [Ferrari] are 5kph quicker than us on the straight but that's what it is. If we can get a good start, we can hopefully give them a hard time."

Oofcourse he will... for about a half of the first lap. Then he pulls off a 10-15 second gap to RIC in 2nd (cause of VER's malfunctioning engine/gearbox/ECU/whatever) and that's how it stays for the rest of the race...

Analyse the overtakes by car 33. Your remark is biased by other people's remarks and incorrect.

      What LightIsRight said.
Although I would love to see Max crashing into Vettel and then both of them getting out and Vettel starting a fight Piquet style. That would be spectacular!

    • Straight racing incident. Watch the onboard shots from the three cars. Very very unfortunate incident though.
