McLaren contemplate Le Mans return

McLaren have confirmed that they are pondering the thought of returning to race at Le Mans. New Executive Director Zak Brown has stated that the team is interested.

"We have won Le Mans and the race is part of our history," he said. "It is one of my tasks to determine whether McLaren should go racing again at Le Mans. It is something that is spoken within McLaren. Personally, I think we would like to participate again at Le Mans, and I'm not the only one with that opinion."

McLaren victory at Le Mans dates back to 1995, when JJ Lehto, Masanori Sekiya and Yannick Dalmas won in the McLaren F1 GTR.
