Sergio Perez has revealed that he is only considering one team as he looks to secure his 2017 plans, although he admits that he ahas a number of offers on the table.
F1i quotes the Mexican as saying that while he's only interested in one particular team, if his future isn't secured within the next week, he will be forced to look elsewhere.
"No, at the moment I am just considering one team," he said. "There are some other options on the table, quite interesting options but at the moment I hope that it works out with one team and if it doesn’t by next week we will have to look something [at] else."
"Obviously I want to keep my career in Formula One going so I cannot wait much longer so, I expect everything will be done by next week," he added. "I see no reason why [not] but I am not in a position to confirm anything, because of my past experience nothing has been done, so until it’s done and signed then it’s really done."
The former McLaren driver had been set to reveal his future plans at this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix, although such an announcement appears to have been delayed again, after already being postponed recently.
