Ferrari have switched their focus to beating Red Bull to second place in the championship, with pace setters Mercedes now out of reach.
The Italian team had set the pre-season target of fighting for the championship but a difficult season has seen them so far fail to win a race.
Now Kimi Raikkonen has said that the team have set their sights on Red Bull as the season enters its final stages.
"We obviously want to be second because we cannot win it any more," he said. "I mean, maybe there are chances if the other team doesn’t finish at all. We lost second place a few races ago … In the last two weekends we've been going in the right direction, improving, so hopefully that’s also the case in the upcoming races."
"The aim is always to finish higher up all the time and we’ll see," he added. "We have to keep doing our best and I’m sure we’ll get that podium."
