GP2 driver Jordan King has said that he wants to graduate to Formula One and be as successful as fellow Brits Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.
King currently sits sixth in the GP2 standings with 80 points and has taken two sprint race victories this season.
"Britain as a nation tends to breed some good drivers and some of those get to the top," said King. "Lewis and Jenson have firmer foothold and had a good crack at it but then there have been some others who have managed to get their foot in but not quite made it."
King is currently linked with a race seat at Manor Racing as doubts over Rio Haryanto's future continue to linger. He is currently a development driver with the outfit and drove for the team at the post-race test at Silverstone.
“My focus is GP2," he insisted. "If I win the championship, or even finish in the top three, it would increase my chances of getting a seat in Formula One.
“If you win the championship, that helps you, but you have to be in the right position and if the opportunity came then you have to take it."
