Force India want a lift on radio communication

Force India were left outraged at the Austrian Grand Prix after Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg retired due to brake issues.

After the ban on certain radio communications, the team were advised by the FIA not to inform the two drivers of the problems they were facing.

Speaking after tyhe race, Force India deputy team principal Bob Fernley spoke of his concerns about the radio communication regulations

"It's a bit worrying," Autosport quoted him saying. "It seems a bit silly putting a halo on a car but not being able to tell a driver his brakes are about to go,"

After a recent point scoring run, the team came away with none at Austria after the two late retirements.

The FIA are reportedly worried that easing the communication ban would mean an exploitation of the rules with teams potentially giving extra information other than safety.
