McLaren to be sponsored by Gulf Air in Bahrain

McLaren Mercedes have picked up another one race sponsor for the Bahrain Grand Prix in the form of locally operating flight company, Gulf Air.

The news comes after the Woking-based squad started the season without a title sponsor after their contract with mobile phone company Vodafone, who sponsored the team from 2007 to 2013, did not renew their contract.

Both Jenson Button and Kevin Magnussen will run with the organisations' logo on the sidepods of the car, something that they also did in Australia after their first one-race sponsorship was announced with long-term partners, Mobil 1 to commemorate their 20 year history together.

It is currently unknown if the deal will extend beyond the Grand Prix, although it is not currently expected to do so.
