Mercedes, McLaren and Honda to sit together at press conference

There has been a change in the listings for this afternoon's press conference which is held for team principals, engineers and other important team personnel. Ferrari team boss Maurizio Arrivabene and Pirelli chief Mario Isola have been removed from the lineup, replaced by Eric Boullier (McLaren) and Yusuke Hasegawa (Honda).

Boullier and Hasegawa will join Toto Wolff of Mercedes in the press room, with the FIA putting together three names who have been making headlines recently. As McLaren deeply unhappy with the current situation with Honda, rumours swirl that they could soon reunite with Mercedes.

Furthermore, Ferrari is not confirming that engine boss Lorenzo Sassi has left the Maranello outfit. When asked about those particular rumours, championship leader Sebastian Vettel said in Austria: "I don't know what you're referring to. I think it's better to ask those a little bit higher up about these kinds of things."

  • I can imagine this will be awkward for Honda. Im sure Mercedes wont rub it in their face, its not their style, but I think the end of McHonda is drawing closer.
